Psychological

Most kids who take to narcotic drugs usually come from troubled homes. They try to find different ways of numbing the feelings caused by their current problems and they think the high of drugs can help them deal with the pains. Teenagers who were mold into a broken family are mostly the ones with drug issues. In this case, the fault is of the parents. They are to blame for not properly bringing up their child causing them to seek drugs in dealing with the situation they caused. The earlier the teen start using drugs,  the greater the consequences faced later on in life. Teenagers of today are easily influenced into drug addiction as mainstream media present it to them as a way to escape problems.

Societal effects

Social factors play a key role in determining whether people will take to addiction or not. This is where the influence of friends and family come into the mix. Peer pressure right from time has always been a constant force that could make or break a young teen. Basically teens are attention seekers. If they are not getting enough of it from their parents, they would seek it from an outside source. This is where they get introduced to dangerous drugs.

Biological predisposition

If drug addiction has become a reoccurring problem in your family, then it probably has biological roots. A history of drug family predisposes youngsters to drug use. The annoying part of being a teenager using drugs is that they are immature to understand why drugs seem to exert so much influence on people in the family and so take to it mostly out of curiosity. For kids, anywhere you put your drugs, it won't do you any good. Your parents might try to help but the final decision in turning a new leaf is all up to you.
